Dr. Kent Cranford

Dr. Cranford is from High Point, NC and has earned a bachelor's of science degree from Western Carolina University. Kent pursued a career in biochemical research while working at Wake Forest University Medical School but was called into Christian ministry. He sought and received further education at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY receiving the MDiv. and DMin, degrees. Before being called to Loray, he ministered in churches in Indiana, Kentucky, South Carolina and Georgia. Kent's wife is Janet and they have three children. He has been our pastor since 2005.
Christine Starnes

Beginning in August of 2020, Christine. Starnes became our church secretary. Additionally, she accompanies several high and middle school choruses in Gaston and surrounding counties. Christine is married to Jarrod who volunteers his time on Sunday mornings as our sound board operator. Musically gifted, Christine is the assistant director to the Gaston Choral Society. At Loray, she directs our choir and assists in the planning of our worship services. Christine has served our church as Music Director since 2012. Prior to that she served as our pianist.
